5 European Summer Destinations
As you probably know, I’m
as European as it gets – I love living on the continent and all the wonderful
cities it holds. The continent of Europe is home to a
whole number of interesting destinations that are definitely worth a visit.
From sandy beaches and blue seas to historic ruins and vibrant cities, Europe
definitely has everything to offer when it comes to making sure that you’re
spoilt for choice when choosing where to visit this summer. If you are thinking
of taking a holiday in Europe this summer and aren’t sure exactly where to
choose, here are five fantastic destinations to inspire you.
Rome
There’s a good reason as to why Rome is one
of the most famous and most visited cities in Europe. With historic sites at
every turn and the Vatican City nestled in the midst of the famous capital, a
trip to Rome is just as interesting whether you only have a few days to spare or
want to spend a few weeks exploring the area. Travel in style on your trip to
Rome with luggage from Charles
Ford London.
London
If you’re looking for a vibrant UK
destination to visit, London is a fantastic choice. With tons of tourist
attractions to visit and definitely no shortage of British heritage, a few days
in London can be loads of fun with just so much to see and do. Visit Buckingham
Palace to see the Changing
of the Guard, before heading to the Thames for a ride in the famous London
Eye and a guided cruise down the river. Having lived in the UK capital, I can assure you, London is
truly inspiring, bother Winter and Summer!
Algarve
If you’re looking for a beach holiday that
offers plenty to see and do, the Algarve, Portugal, has it all. With stunning,
wide beaches that allow plenty of room for sunbathing, sports and swimming for
all the family and a range of activities to choose from such as water parks and
boat excursions to caves and dolphin spotting, the Algarve makes for a fun and
relaxing holiday whether you’re travelling alone, with a group of friends, or
with family.
Milan
If you’re after a shopping break in Europe,
then look no further than Milan. One of Italy’s more industrial cities, you
won’t find as many tourists which can make for a perfectly authentic
experience. A visit to Milan in late December or January means that you’ll hit
the January ‘Saldi’, with hundreds of shops and boutiques offering cut prices.
Don’t forget to visit the famous Piazza and Duomo di Milano, the second largest
church in Italy. And let’s not forget
about how it’s one of the most influent fashion cities!
Athens
If you’re looking for a holiday that offers
a bit of everything, Athens is a great choice. With ancient ruins, museums and
historical architecture to explore, Athens offers everything that you’d want
from a historical city break but doesn’t disappoint when it comes to the
relaxing side of things either. With beaches and beauty spots where you can sit
and soak up the sun, the capital of Greece makes for a perfect European break.
